“Days of Thracian Culture” festival in Plovdiv, Bulgaria

Jean-Pierre Couturier and I presented the inaugural concert at the fifth biannual “Days of Thracian Culture” Festival in Plovdiv, Bulgaria on June 17th at 6 PM at the TrakArt centre.

The programme included Casella’s Tre canti sacri and Ives’ Four Songs performed on the centre’s electronic instrument, Ravel’s Chansons madécasses, Martin’s Sechs monologe aus “Jedermann” and my song cycle Fables. In preparation for the opening, we were invited at Plovdiv’s “Trakia” television for a 50-minute segment of the “TV University” show the same day.

Concert and book launch in Sofia, Bulgaria

Jean-Pierre Couturier and I performed the second concert of our Fables2016 concert tour at the Hungarian Cultural Institute in Sofia, Bulgaria, on June 14th at 6h30 PM. The event included the official launch of the Fables Poetry Psalms bilingual book of the Fables2016 project. You can visit the official website of the project HERE

The concert programme included Dvorak’s Biblical songs, Ravel’s Chansons madécasses, Martin’s Sechs moologe aus “Jedermann” and the Bulgarian premiere of my song cycle Fables.

Concert in Paris, France: Fables 2016 tour launch

Baritone Jean-Pierre Couturier and I performed the first concert of our Fables2016 concert tour at the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Paris, France, on June 10th 2016 at 7h00 PM. The event was coproduced by the Canadian Cultural Centre in Paris, France. The Canadian embassy’s announcement can be seen HERE

The programme included Drovak’s Biblical Songs, Ravel’s Chansons madécasses, Martin’s Sechs Monologe aus “Jedermann” and the world premiere of my song cycle Fables on texts by Nikolai Fol.
