Singing the 1st original composition in Mohawk

On October 9th in Kahnawa:ke (QC) took place the annual Study Day of LAUDEM, the Association of Liturgical Musicians of Canada. During the midday celebration, I sang the first original (not adapted from previously existing music) work in the Mohawk language, Níio tekwanonhwerá:tons (Te Deum) for voice and organ, composed by Jean-Pierre Couturier. The piece is published by Disques Benedictus (Canada) and bears the ISMN 979-0-9001524-6-6. It is planned to appear on a disc in 2018.
