On Wednesday, April 28th, 2021, I participated in a Canada Council for the Arts supported project led by Ensemble Phth. We rehearsed and recorded a demo of Eic Satie’s Messe des pauvres at Missione Maria Ausiliatrice. We also witnessed the extraordinary moment when the conductor, Varham Sarkissian said that the choir will follow the organists’s lead in dynamics. I asked him to repeat so that we have a video of this rarest of moments!
