On the 9th of June 2021 at 19h the Gabrovo Chamber Orchestra under the baton of Ivan Stoyanov premièred a movement of my (very long) work Stringplay. The first three times the work was scheduled Covid-19 put a stop to the première plans, but ultimately, the 4th time was the charm! Special thanks to the conductor and all the performers!
On June 8th 2021 I participated in the 3rd annual conference “Mirabilia”, organized by the Insitute for Balkan Studies with Centre of Thracology (Bulgarian Academy of Sciences) and the American Science Institute. My article, “Defining beauty: five provisi and six conditions sine qua non” will be published in the proceedings later this year.

On Wednesday, April 28th, 2021, I participated in a Canada Council for the Arts supported project led by Ensemble Phth. We rehearsed and recorded a demo of Eic Satie’s Messe des pauvres at Missione Maria Ausiliatrice. We also witnessed the extraordinary moment when the conductor, Varham Sarkissian said that the choir will follow the organists’s lead in dynamics. I asked him to repeat so that we have a video of this rarest of moments!
